In my spare time, I love exploring the Pacific Northwest with my husband and our three rescue dogs. We enjoy hiking, biking, water sports, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

In September 2019, my husband and I hiked the Chilkoot Trail. This beautiful 33-mile trail extends from Skagway, Alaska, to Bennett Lake, British Columbia, offering a rich historical experience along the Klondike Gold Rush highway. For centuries, the Chilkoot Trail served as a trade and travel route to the interior for the coastal Tlingit and interior Athapaskan First Nations. However, it was the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896–1899 that transformed the Chilkoot Trail into a legend. Amidst this rugged northern wilderness, an array of artifacts and heritage landscape features tell the story of the Klondike Gold Rush, adding a unique historical flavor to the legendary Chilkoot Trail.
